Question #2

"When you photograph people in color, you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in back and white, you photograph their souls!" -Ted Grant

I agree with Ted Grant's idea; when you photograph in color the picture represents the whole part. It includes all the distracting noise of color caused from their clothing, jewelry, makeup, or surrounding environments. However, when you photograph a person in black and white you are forced to look at him/her and the light her/she illuminates through their posture and facial expressions, only. Using black and white creates a more distinguishable contrast and allows the viewer to see the person, their projected personality and feelings, and not what he/she is wearing or the background noise of color.
